Anthony Bolton, President - Investments, Fidelity International

Anthony Bolton has been with Fidelity since the launch of its first UK funds nearly 30 years ago. From December 1979 until end of 2007, Mr. Bolton managed the Fidelity Special Situations Fund, the best-performing UK retail investment fund over the past 28 years. He also managed Fidelity Special Values Plc between 1994 and 2007, as well as the Fidelity European Fund (1985-2003), the Fidelity European Growth Fund (1990 -2003) and Fidelity European Values Plc (1991-2001).

Since stepping down from day-to-day portfolio management at the end of 2007, Mr. Bolton has taken on a new full-time role at Fidelity, mentoring the younger fund managers and research analysts, as well as having oversight of Fidelity's investment management process.

Mr. Bolton has been a Managing Director since 1990, having previously been an Investment Director for Fidelity between 1979 and 1989. Prior to joining Fidelity, Mr. Bolton was a Fund Manager at Schlesinger Investment Management Services between 1976 and 1979 and an Investment Analyst at Keyser Ullmann between 1971 and 1976.

Born in 1950, Mr. Bolton received an MA (Hons) in Engineering and Business Studies from Cambridge University.
