Trelawny Williams

Trelawny Williams is Corporate Finance Director at Fidelity International (FIL). Mr. Williams joined Fidelity in 2001 from M&G where he had held a similar position for the previous five years.


He began his career in 1979 with Brown Brothers Harriman in New York as a Corporate Finance Analyst and in 1982 he returned to London and held various positions in corporate finance with Morgan Grenfell and Prudential Bache, latterly as a Vice-President and Director. In 1992 he left the City and spent three years as Corporate Development Advisor with George Wimpey Plc. He joined M&G in 1996.


Born in London in 1957, Mr. Williams received a BA in Economics from the University of North Carolina where he was a John Motley Morehead Scholar and he holds a Masters in Business Administration from INSEAD.

Thomas Fraenkel-Thonet

Thomas Fraenkel-Thonet is a Portfolio Manager at Fidelity International (FIL).


From FIL's London headquarters, Mr. Fraenkel-Thonet manages a number of European equity funds for both retail and institutional clients including the Fidelity Funds European Larger Companies fund and the Fidelity European Institutional fund.


Prior to becoming a portfolio manager, Mr. Fraenkel-Thonet spent four years as a research analyst with FIL. As an analyst he covered the Insurance, Technology and Capital Goods sectors. He has a total of 14 years investment experience with Fidelity. Mr. Fraenkel-Thonet previously worked in the Equities Division of Credit Suisse First Boston and Merrill Lynch Capital Markets in Frankfurt and New York.


Born in 1964, Mr. Fraenkel-Thonet received an MBA from the Columbia Business School, New York and a Bachelor of Science in International Economics (Hon) from Georgetown University, Washington DC.
